Cuckoos Nest Reviews

Bethany
We had such a lovely trip away at the cuckoos nest. It was well equipped with everything we needed, clean and spacious. The games room and swimming pool made the stay especially with a variety of age groups within the family. Would stay again and recommend others booking this great cottage in a great rural location!
Richard
A very pleasant week. My apologies we did not strip the beds, but with 3 disabled people in our party I didn't read that we had to do that until we were about to leave
Rosemary
A beautiful location, a very spacious, clean and comfortable cottage.
Susan
If you want a quiet place to relax with family and friends you could do no better than Cuckoos Nest. Whilst not luxurious it is clean and comfortable and has everything you need and more. The surroundings are idyllic and plenty to do in the surrounding area. The pool and games room are fantastic and well maintained. Points to note - remember to take salt and pepper and toilet roll . The water tastes and smells different ( sulphur) so we opted to use bottled water. But it is perfectly safe to use / drink and it was just our preference .
Gillian
Great place for our Family to celebrate our sonâ??s 40th Birthday, we came well equipped to cook for ourselves for the week as it is a good way from a shop, However the swimming pool & Games room were fab for us All, With timed slots which worked really well, for sharing with the other cottages. Very spacious accommodation that was well equipped. But bring own loo roll as we nearly ran out as didnâ??t realise we needed to provide our own. Never had to do this in other cottages we have stayed at, but understand & we sorted it but had to travel quite a way to a shop. The outside space was lovely too, including the football field. We were not bored at all . The bathrooms are a little dated but it is all very clean on the whole. We found the beds were not that comfortable but realise that is sometimes personal preference. The water had a strange smell so take some bottled water. we would however stay again as it was Great for our needs.
Diane
Although we ended up having a lovely time I think the cottages were over priced. One good thing was the cottages were lovely and warm and we were in control of the heating. The cottages were spacious enough to cater for 10 of us and a dog.
Nichol
Beautiful property, located in a quiet area. We had a lovely weekend celebrating. The pool is a fabulous addition and we really liked the set timetable.
Matthew
Good value, rooms were small but functional. Dated but clean and well kept. Games rooms inculding pool, table football, table tennis, snooker and darts was a very good addition. Its shared with 3 cottages on 2 hour slots. We got full use as 1 cottage seemed to not be booked. We were unsure if the other was but they didnt seem to use the slots on the Sunday we used it. Basically if its a busy time of the year you would get less time than we had. The swimming pool was brilliant, changing rooms were functional. Heated pool, few float aids and well kept. Best bit of the trip for us. Kitchen was well equiped.
Ann
The pool and games room are a fabulous addition to the property and a real bonus. The property was a little disappointing with a rather unloved feel. Nevertheless, the property is clean and the beds particularly comfy. The location is lovely and quiet although not recommended for walks from the door. The local footpaths are not well maintained nor well sign posted (obviously nothing to do with the property though).
Emily
Stunning cottage with great amenities on site. The cottage itself was very spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend for a large group looking for a quiet countryside location. Already looking forward to coming back!
Chris
The cottage is very spacious and presented in a very clean and tidy way. All amenities are present.Location is beautiful as well as the outer look of the cottage.
Zoe
A brilliant family holiday! The cottage, grounds and pool were fantastic. The hosts were amazing and couldn't do enough for you. A big thank you!
Charlene
