About Silverholme at the Graythwaite Estate

Silverholme is a magnificent Georgian manor house on the Graythwaite Estate in the Lake District National Park. This exceptional property sleeps 18 guests across nine bedrooms, making it perfect for large family gatherings or group celebrations. The indoor swimming pool can be booked for private 45-minute sessions, whilst a dedicated cinema room features a 65" smart TV with Sonos surround sound and Sky Movies.

The estate sits within hundreds of square miles of stunning Lake District countryside. Hawkshead village lies 5.4 miles away, whilst Ambleside is just 5.1 miles distant.

The main house offers seven bedrooms: one ground-floor king-size and one ground-floor twin, three first-floor super-king-size rooms, two first-floor twins and one additional first-floor twin. All nine bedrooms have en-suite facilities. The separate Coachman's Cottage provides an open-plan living space with a double bedroom. Social spaces include a drawing room with open fire, well-stocked library and a fully-equipped kitchen with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake.

Beatrix Potter Gallery in Hawkshead (5.4 miles, 12 minutes) showcases original artwork. Windermere Lake Cruises at Newby Bridge (10 miles, 20 minutes) offers boat trips. A very special place wonderful accommodation, views and garden. Unusually for a property of this size, all bedrooms were excellent. Activities on site rib rides, clay pigeon shooting, swimming pool were all great too. Thank you!
We had a wonderful week in Silverholme. A fabulous location to explore the lakes and a most amazing house. Easily accommodated 16 of us with a well equipped kitchen. The view from the picture window in the kitchen were out of this world and when the sun went down a roaring fire in the drawing room was super cosy. Highly recommended.
Beautiful house for a family celebration, thanks to all the team who are so helpful.
