Highly recommended. Beautiful location and views. Welcoming ,friendly hosts. Large very well equipped ,comfortable and spotlessly clean farmhouse. Plenty of parking space. Would recommend the local Masons Arms pub for excellent food and service. Dark night skies for stargazing were amazing. We will definitely come back again. A wonderful holiday.
An amazing place to stay and spend time with family. Very clean and tidy and everything you need. Owners are very attentive and such lovely people. Great walks around the area and close to the masons arms pub. Would definitely recommend Addyfield Farmhouse and will be going back.

Wow, the perfect break, didnt want to come away. Owners very welcoming. Seven adults and plenty of room, we could go back again tomorrow. We did take our own board games, Catan , took three days to play, we had mostly great weather. Ate at the pub one night and cooked evening meals , enjoyed a barbecue, looking out at the amazing view. Lovely area , will definitely be returning.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location. Lovely peaceful surroundings and the view is spectacular. The home had everything we needed during our trip and more, we felt very comfortable during our trip. The property owners were lovely and very friendly. They were accommodating and helpful when settling me and my family in. There was plenty of space for parking. We've just returned from a wonderful week at Addyfield Farmhouse. What a lovely property, super clean with absolutely amazing views. Great base for doing lake cruises, lake activities or for kids to splash about in the lake. Plenty of walks with stunning views. The property itself is super clean, owners take pride in keeping it very well presented and it has absolutely everything for a big family or for ones with little kids. Very friendly hosts and we'd highly recommend and will certainly stay here again when visiting the Lakes.

A beautifully furnished, comfortable & clean cottage. A perfect place to return to after a day exploring, walking & cycling in the Lake District. Fully equipped kitchen, only minor observation is the temperature markings for the main oven have worn away. Lounge perfect for relaxing, with the log burner adding that special touch. Bedrooms beautifully dressed with plenty of storage for clothing, very comfortable beds. Three also have a wash basin. Main bathroom includes a shower over bath with good of water pressure. Also has a downstairs shower room, though can't comment on water pressure as we didn't use it. Breathtaking views from all main rooms but especially enjoyed from the garden benches on the patio a perfect start to the day sitting with a morning coffee listening to the sounds of the sheep in the distant fields & the birds. About 15 mins drive to BownessonWindmere access is via winding country lanes with passing places, but very little traffic just watch out for the pheasants who seem to prefer running down the lane ahead of the car rather than fly out of way. The Masons Arms, a 15 mins walk away, has a welcoming feel & does lovely food. Highly recommend Addyfield Farmhouse for a relaxing base for exploring the Lake District.
