We really loved our stay at Yonder Lea. Such a wonderful house everything spotless and clean on arrival. High spec kitchen appliances and literally everything you could needwant in the kitchen Lovely comfortable beds and loved the duvets just the right thickness and loads of storage in the bedrooms. Beautiful decor throughout very stylish Lovely garden and decking area which we actually got to enjoy as we were lucky with the weather on some days. Our dog loved the decking too. Wonderful location just minutes from the shops, cafes, restaurants of bowness but in a lovely quiet culdesac. Only tiny thing maybe a little more info on what to do with wasterecycling when we left was we were a little confused as no instructions we could see in book but hopefully we did it right. If I could give Yonder Lea a score it would be 1110! Definitely recommend for a wonderful luxurious lake district holiday. Thanks for a wonderful stay

A lovely property in a great location. Very comfortable openplay living space, beds were super comfy well mine was Whilst we appreciated the outside space, it was a little small and on a slight slop, so as a family we could not play our yearly bowls on the lawn. Lovely kitchen space and well equipped in terms of crockery and glasses etc. The bifold doors were extremely difficult to openclose, and the microwave was also difficult to work, despite instructions. It would be beneficial if someone could be on hand on the day of arrival to show guests how to use these. Having said this, the owners were on the end of the phone to speak to regarding these matters and were extremely polite and helpful. This will avoid any damage being cause to the Bifold doors, which are stunning and gives the most amazing views, across the Lake, which is not mentioned in the write up that I could see, but defo worth the mention. This a property beautiful property and we will return. Thank you.

This is our second visit to Yonder Lea as we think it is perfect for our needs. Its a large airy open plan accommodation and is well equipped with everything you need. It is a home from home very clean and a private garden and beautiful patio which our dog loved.

The accommodation was clean, comfortable and had all that we needed. The location is perfect close enough to the busy area of Bowness to use the amenities but also far enough away. We found that Bowness was a good base to explore the Lakes. The garden is not completely dogproof the neighbours dogs kept getting into it which meant that we had to block it off and keep our dog on a lead. We visited during a heatwave and two fans were provided but were not particularly powerful. Overall the property was fabulous and we would definitely return at a cooler time of year.

We stayed here for 5 nights and loved every second. A great location and lovely garden. All the beds were comfy and we loved the open plan kitchen. Would definitely return. The only negatives we found was the iron was broken and the washing machine brought up an error code.

Fantastic property in a great location. Just a few mins walk into town and onsite parking. Weather was excellent, so we made full use of the garden space and terrace. Rooms were big with lots of storage and very comfortable beds. A great house for family or friends getting together, loved the open plan layout and a high end finish. 100 recommend, couldnt fault the place!

Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend and love to visit again. The house was beautiful and we enjoyed the garden with the view of the lake. The location was perfect for us, so near the facilities whist being so quiet and peaceful. Our only concern was the washing machine was broken and we later noticed this was picked up by a guest in April but there was no sign on the machine not to use. We used the machine and were then left with very wet soapy washing to try and get dry. Also no instructions what to do with the rubbishrecycling. Overall a perfect stay, left with very happy family memories.

We had a 3 night stay at Yonder Lea in February and loved it . There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room . The cottage was well equipped clean and well presented . It was close to all amenities and a short walk to the lake with plenty of shops bars and restaurants around . There is a slight incline walking down and back to the cottage , it has no lighting in the dark but we used our phone camera for lighting .It is situated in a secluded residential area. We didnt make use of the outside space due to weather conditions but I bet it is lovely in the spring Summer time I would definitely return .

We had an amazing stay at Yonder Lea. The House is kept to a very high standard and having stayed in many holiday cottages over the years can safely say Yonder Lea was the best equipped yet! The location is great, just a short 5 minute walk into Bowness, and the view of the lake from the decking makes for a wonderful backdrop. I am sure we will return and would certainly highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We had an amazing stay in beautiful Yonder Lea. The accommodation was 5 stars and it was situated so close to the centre of Bowness just a short walk to shops and restaurants. The EV charger was a bonus. Very dog friendly and the gorgeous Christmas decorations made us feel very festive close to Christmas. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

A fabulous property which incorporated all of the facilities that you might need for a nice breakholiday. The weather was too inclement for us to sample the outside space but generally the property is close to all of the amenities of Windermere and Bowness. However There was no welcome pack left for usam I be unreasonable in expecting a pint of milk and a loaf of bread plus some tea bags or coffee? The EV charger was a welcome bonus although there were no instructions available to explain why it kept cutting out and restarting? There were no egg cups amongst the substantial crockery available. All three of these items were minor and did not detract from our enjoyment of the property. We would have no hesitation in rebooking although hopefully next time, the weather will be more forgiving!

This is a really great property with everything you could need. Great beds,fully equipped kitchen and great comfortable living area. The enclosed garden was ideal for the dog. Situated in an ideal place for town and lake although up quite a steep hill so not good for disabled people or elderly. Would definitely recommend a stay.

What a perfect location, and a great property. The space was perfect, even a little sneaky lake view The property itself had plenty of kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery The beds comfortable as was the seating in the main living space. We didnt get great weather so didnt utilise the outside space but it looked great.. all in all couldnt fault it.

The property is amazingly furnished with lovely views and very close to local amenities, one of the best we have stayed in. I will however probably not be going back as I will have to think very carefully about booking through Sykes cottages or lake lovers. We unfortunately left an item behind in the property which i except was our fault but I have received a email to say you have it. Unfortunately 6 weeks has now passed and despite offering to pay upfront for any postage fees I still dont have it back and it is bordering on impossible to actually speak to anyone at Sykes cottages or lake lovers about it. Absolutely loved the house both the space and the fact it had everything we needed. The enclosed garden was perfect for the dog and the house itself was close to everything. Amazing property with everything you need for a break in the Lakes. Close to walk to the centre of Bowness but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. We were a family of 7 spanning 3 generations and there was enough space and privacy that we didn't feel on top of each other during our stay. A fabulous bungalow for a family get together. Well appointed, very comfortable beds, lovely to see the lake from the living room window. The walk up the hill after a visit to the fizzy tarte was a bit slower than the walk down. My only small gripe from a maintenance perspective was the dripping tap in the house bathroom.

The property was very nice and clean and spacious and we even had a distant view of the lakes from the back garden and we were very lucky to have a great week of weather. Our only issue was with the kitchen appliances and heating. The cooker was operated via a magnet which didn't seem to always want to work and the microwave required you to scan a QR code to get the instructions. The Hive heating unit was set to 29 degrees in a week of mid 20 degrees weather and we didn't notice it until we all realised we were cooking more than the weather should have made us feel. Couldn't get the Hive unit to lower the temperature so we felt we spent time battling the inbuilt technology of the property when we were in the Lake District to escape from all of that and enjoy the countryside and scenery. Not a problem for those who can't separate themselves from their technology for a break but that was the point of our break.

We stayed at yonder Lea for a long weekend and we had a lovely time! The facilities are great everything we needed was there. The house was so clean and a well looked after property. The location is ideal its only a couple of minutes walk into BownessOnWindermere. I would highly recommend the property.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Yonder Lea. The bungalow is in a fantastic location please note there is a steep hill on the ascent to the bungalow which some people may struggle with but it wasnt a problem with our party of 8 just a short stroll to the main shopsbarspier, there is a lovely view of the lake in the distance from the patio. The bungalow was spotlessly clean, we received a nice welcome gift, the fixtures and fittings are top quality, top marks for the sleep quality, the beds are sooooo comfy! Everything has been thought of. Would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay!
